Donna M. Greenwood, Ph.D., is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with more than 25 years experience consulting to businesses. Her advisory services include assessment of readiness for selection into key family business positions and/or increased business responsibility; executive coaching for family members and/or key family business managers, organizational development for family enterprises, strategic talent planning, and behavioral assessments of performance.
As part of the Narva & Company team, Donna offers unique professional services focused on pragmatic, actionable, business-relevant solutions for family enterprises. She brings value to projects with her blend of quantitative, qualitative, project management, and facilitation skills, coupled with her knowledge of business management, human resources, leadership, and business psychology.
Donna’s specific expertise and experience focus on senior levels of management. She has designed selection testing batteries, assessment centers, and selection systems for executive selection and succession plans. She has assessed and coached hundreds of executives and managers and finds her greatest satisfaction in helping organizations thrive through her work with leadership development. Her clients have ranged from Fortune 100 businesses to privately held enterprises to family-owned companies.
With her background in behavioral and management science, she has also served as a consulting and/or primary scientist on various research projects and authored a number of articles and technical reports in her field. She recently co-authored My Leadership Journey: Charting a Course to Leadership Wisdom and was selected as one of the Best 50 Women in Business in Pennsylvania for 2006. She has taught university courses and was a founding partner of The Executive Planning Group, a multidisciplinary group of financial and management professionals focused on family business succession.
Donna is a member of professional organizations, including the Academy of Management, The Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and the American Psychological Association. She is certified as a Family Business Advisor through the Family Firm Institute (FFI).
